More Writing

Writing.

I’m taking an English class online and the assignment I want to share with you is, to write in third person about a room 360 degree in your house as detailed as you can be. This is what I’ve come up with. Hope it inspires others to write too. I took a day to go to a coffee shop and write. I ate a brisket burrito and had an Americano to drink along with it, as I sat and wrote.
I think putting practice into something you’re good at can make you better, so that’s why I’m taking a step to taking a writing class online. As introverted as it sounds, the people who know me would say I’m crazy for taking an online class because I’m more extrovert. But I am getting a whole lot of love and support. Thank you to everyone. Thank you to my mom back hand writer, who encourages me to keep writing. I trust her input and she is a great writer, hence the fact she she got a degree in writing.  She helps me become a better writer because the way she makes me think really grows me and makes me become a better writer, along in her writing footsteps.  I’d say my writing is a little quirky, and there’s room to grow, and my mom says I’m doing really good. Maybe something can come of the future for me in this realm of things.  So I appreciate feedback from whoever reads this. We as writers have to exchange ideas to each other to help us walk through the writing life.
Here it goes!

Galilee’s favorite room in her house is her kitchen. Taking a three hundred sixty degree tour of the area, one can see she has decorated it so beautifully. She has the most wonderful things that fill up her space. Being in the kitchen makes her feel passionate. The kitchen is known for being Galilee’s “go to” room. Decorating her kitchen with winter whites, gives a white winter living vibe. She adds decor with farmers market floral, kitchen top bouquets and white metal pitchers filled with Daisy’s. She always has a coffee brewing from her French press, the loveliest aroma around. Rustic industrial vibe lighting hangs from the white coated ceiling. The sun shines through her kitchen windows, brightening the day. Her white metal like fridge is tact with polaroid photos of wonderful filled  memories. One can see that Galilee decorates her kitchen with care.

Galilee has a few of her favorite things to fill up her kitchen. She has a creative space for her utensils and cook wear, she holds a spot for wooden cooking spoons, metal whisks, and pots and pans. She collects wooden cutting boards. The white toaster over that is planted in the corner of the room on a shelf along with some mixing bowls, amazing white electric mixer, and some of her special cast iron pans and heavy duty pots. The wooed table that is a beautiful centerpiece of the kitchen is covered with Snow White plates and bowls, stacked on top of each other, a black metal bassinet filled with country white and grey hand towels. The wooden table has mason jars for drinking. The kitchen is always authentically scented, some days with cedar wood insents and some other times with the strongest aromas of authentic seasonings from when she cooks. Galilee loves to fill her kitchen with favorite finds, make her feel creative.

The kitchen is a place where feelings flow.  Galilee loves the beauty of her kitchen. It’s where she feels the most creative. When guests are over, this is the place to hang out and have good conversations, maybe even secrets spill. She feels content and happy, sometimes is in the mood for dancing and laughter with good people. Because her passion grows deep, her days are lovely in the kitchen. Hospitality brings her happiness. She loves having a clean kitchen because a clean kitchen is a happy kitchen. Even games are played here, one of her favorite games to play is Spoons with a big group setting. It is a card game where the loser has to eat a concoction from the winners off the spoon blind folded and guess what what was put on the spoon. The kitchen makes Galilee feel of Gratitude, she is grateful for the things she has. She feels the the comfort of the food she makes. She feels challenged to create new recipes.  Galilee enjoys her time spent in the winter white industrial modern kitchen.

Rain

I hope everyone had a safe and rainy Super Bowl Sunday! I don’t know about you, but I was voting for the Patriots! My team won 13-3!

When it rains cats and dogs, what do I do? I go and look up winter rain quotes! Came across this. To those who don’t love the rain, like me, I hope this lifts you. It sure helped me.

“What good is the warmth of
    Summer, without the cold of
    Winter to give it Sweetness.”

January

Make your New Year Great! Do something for yourself and for others. I have recently been on more hikes in the last two months than I’ve ever been. It’s something I want to do for myself is go on more hikes, and I have made it happen and continue to make it happen. I’ve been on  beautiful hikes, after it has rained, poured down hard. It’s just when the sun shines so beautifully after it has rained is the perfect day for a hike when everything is drying up. Imagine yourself up high being able to see so clearly in front of you  being able to see so far ahead of you. I think hiking was the best decision I’ve made walking into 2019. It’s a step to bettering myself. I’m trying to make the most of 2019, and I encourage others to want the same.

Makeup

I went makeup shopping this afternoon. I bought Elf brand poreless face primer, chapstick total hydration with vitamin enriched tinted lip oil, Elf brand Sparkling Rose lip plumping gloss, NYX Suéde Matte Lip Liner. Instant Age Rewind Medium Moyen. I also got the Maybelline New York Master strobing liquid illuminating highlighter 200 Medium Moyen Nude Glow, but I prefer 300 Deep/Gold Foncé. I happen to get the other one by accident.   I also got Elf brand highlighting brush, and a makeup sponge for foundation. I got the Milani Setting Spray. I got Elf brand contouring blush and bronzer powder and Minerals Mineral Rush mineral powder.
I also bought Pretty Woman brand Nail Medic Strength Nail Revolution, it’s a nail and cuticle strengthener infused with Argan Oil and Algae Extract. So I’m also glamming up with that and painted my nails red tonight.
I’m not makeup savvy or knowledgeable in the makeup world. I could use some help.  Thanks to colorscience.com, I was looking up makeup tutorials and this amazing site popped up. I need a makeup for dummies book, sure enough colorscience.com saved the day. Here’s their link below:
https://www.colorescience.com/learn/how-to-apply-makeup#tip-01

Makeup is very expensive, I might get another day on my makeup list of things to get....but I have a petite face so I need to learn how to apply eyeliner, whether it’s liquid or pencil, I don’t know how to apply it well.   I don’t know the best way to apply eyeshadow either,  I don’t have eyeliner. Don’t know how to apply it properly. Forgive me.  Is it truly necessary to have a set of makeup brushes or can I just use my fingers? I already bought a highlighting brush, but how many makeup brushes do you need? I don’t know how to really shop for makeup but I guess I have the basics, and I don’t shop for myself often, don’t like to wear heavy makeup, I like the natural beauty look. I am giving make up another try. I don’t like to wear makeup to work, I  used to work in the food industry and my face felt oily and super gross. But now I work retail, and would like to give makeup another try.
Makeup list of things to get:
1. Eyeliner
2. Eyeshadow
3. Makeup brushes

Christmas is just around the bend. Who’s excited? And the New year is coming!  Merry Christmas and have a happy New Year!

Happy Thanksgiving 2018

This is Kevin, a foster puppy, I held in my arms on Thanksgiving night. Precious little Kevin! A beautiful chihuahua. I really enjoyed the Thanksgiving meal my mom prepared this year, as I was unable to help because I worked. So pretty much, I just showed up. And I am so grateful for her wonderful gift of being a wonderful cook. She’s truly talented and she has a big heart. Thanks mom for the greatest meal this thanksgiving. Loved it.

What’s new?

Hello!
Writing about life as I lay awake at night in a beauty of silence. What’s new with my life is I have decided to take a Spanish class! It only took a year to decide. Working retail and taking a five unit class sure keeps me busy. I’m enjoying it as of now till it gets harder. As you know the semester has begun only recently.
What’s also new is I invested in AirPods a few days ago. I own them now and hope to take good care of them and not lose them. Lol. AirPods are my new favorite. They are so useful! Go Apple, love the product! AirPods are truly convenient! They are the best.
I struggle to write because the best way to write is through personal experiences, and my life is just as boring as it seems. My life in a nutshell is working retail, school and Netflix lol!. I’ve been in retail going on one year! I am all caught up with Greys Anatomy! Looking forward to season 15. Who’s not caught up? Who’s excited for the new season?
2019 is coming around the corner. I can’t believe I’m saying this, a new year? The new year is coming around fast! Is anyone looking forward to it?
All I know is, I’m looking forward to a new week. That’s for sure.

Write

Trying to write more. I know I don't write on here enough. It's a matter of trying to find the urge to write. I am a great writer  and I get told it all the time by many people. I have been encouraged by loved ones and other people to continue to write. what should I write about. Maybe I'll do some research and try writing about it. And try to get back into writing. I don't believe in writers block, you write when the passion comes and just by living in reality helps. Explore! Let's open our minds.  What are some other writer's advice on how to find your way to write?

How's everyone's New Year so far? Going into the New Year for me has been well. Busy with 2 jobs and a college class coming up, I'm really looking foreword to it. As of now, just taking things slow. Nothing hectic. Being busy all the time would just drive me over the edge. I'd rather have a little bit of time for myself where I'm not having to run from one job to the next back to back in one day however many times during the week. I like the feeling of business but not all the time. How do you maintain your schedules? How are you starting fresh in the New Year?

2018

Happy New Year!
Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year celebration! This Year, I am not going to ask for New Years resolutions from anybody and I am not going to have a list for this so called New Years Resolutions. The reasoning behind all this is because you don't need a New Years resolution list of how great your gonna become. You already are. You grow and learn something new everyday about yourself and in and of itself you'll soon come to that understanding or not. You don't need a resolutions list  telling you what your gonna do differently in the New Year. When your lead to do something, do it. That's my advice. I'm not against people wanting to set goals....Goals are great! I personally just like living day by day in each and every moment, whether there good or bad. No matter what, that's what grows us and we are stronger because of it. Only if you let yourself grow in good times and bad. Don't get stuck in a New Years resolutions list and then find out at the end of the year, you didn't make those goals.  Goals are set in time. If your into making goals, I encourage those of you to keep pushing towards what your mind is set on. Get ready, set and go! You got this. Determination is good, your growing through that, and that makes you stronger. Keep it up! People grow in different ways. Don't force yourself to do anything that's not built for your character. If it's not for you, leave it be. You can be excited for the New Year and not have any list of resolutions. Hey, that's okay. You find things that aren't for you and are for you, no matter who you are. You are great no matter what you do. Making a New Years resolution shouldn't be what makes your identity.
If there's anything I left out or misrepresented this topic in anyway, feel free to leave a comment below, and share any thoughts you have.
I am Happy going into the New Year! Are you happy?
HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2018!!
Anything new and exiting plans that you have coming into the New Year? For instance, get together with friends, take a class, create something, write something new, pursue a different or new hobby, travel, etc.
Do you have a word for the New Year that you have in mind? And why?

When In Rome

This is a journal entry I wrote in Rome back in April.

The day we arrived in Rome, it was around 8:40am. With jet lag we were up at 5am the first few mornings. Visiting the Pantheon, the famous Trevi Fountain, enjoying Americano. Making a day trip out to Pompei, Positano, and Napoli was full of adventure and amazing sites and culture. Positano was an amazing mountain city view. The coastal windy roads looking out at sea on the mountain road .going to the Colluseum was so memorable. We almost drove to the curator of Mt. Vesuvius. We drove through what looked like a hobbit forest.
The cobblestone streets we walked in Rome were so cool.lots of small Fiat cars and small nit tight streets. Rarely you'd pass by a street sign, no stop signs. The ambulances and police force are different in Italy. The crossaints we ate literally melted in our mouths, that's how delightful and rich tasting they are.how do I begin with coffee. Let's just say, it was rich in its strong flavor and addictive. The food in Italy is so good, there are too many good words to describe how authentic and unprocessedmeals and food we ate. The produce is small, Italians eat a lot of pork, you'd find pork in almost every dish and pasta dishes. Carbonara pasta dishes for example. Very rich meat and fatty too. Pig check aka the butt cheek. LOL! We ate lots of pizza and  pasta. The way the laundry is done is usually done through the washer and then normally dried out by hanging them on clothes lines, sometimes outside your window  or even inside your place. Water is not free anywhere, I presume their tap water isn't any good? All water is either bottled still or fizz.

Being in Italy for a week was so cool, I became fond of their lifestyle and ways. I got used to it. I felt part of them and like them. I sure do miss being in Italy. I can't help but still reminisce or have a thought of the good times. I hold this trip as a memory with me everywhere I go. I can't help but carry it with me everywhere I go. I really enjoyed my time when I was there.

December

I can't believe it's December already! The year is just not over yet! I love a night of when I make myself a tasteful dinner meal. I have been doing lots of spinach salads with tomato, cucumber, kalamata olives, green and red peppers, switching up of either feta or goat cheese. So divine! And as of a night like tonight with blissful music in the background and some quiet time to myself, I've fixed myself a plate of a spinach base with Chicken breast, ripen avocado, thin sliced tomato, roasted red, green, yellow and orange peppers with fresh diced garlic cloves and a small portioned bed of brown rice and seasoned with a hint of salt and pepper.. It is filling and the chicken breast, how moist because I marinated it  in chicken broth over the stove top. Perfect evening of a wonderful meal.

I know I haven't written here for a while. What's new with me? Well, I have a thought in going to a community college after so long of debating and letting it go, having the talk of college not being for me. I get asked a lot about have you been through college, with the following question of why not, what's holding you back? I always fought with those questions in my mind like why not? Or what am I doing? Who am I? And what do I want to do with my life. These are huge questions. Adult info is hard. I just never thought of persuing a degree. Getting a degree isn't for everyone. Everyone pursues different things and go about things differently. And some people get degrees and don't happen to use them. I'm not saying I'm going for a degree as of right now. Getting a degree takes time. It's a work in progress. I have to see how the first class goes and then think about the next step.  If I go to a community college in the beginning of the new year, I have the slightest idea to learn a second language. That's what I'm leaning towards and it is very useful in the work industry. I am thinking of taking Spanish so I can communicate to those I serve who are Spanish speaking. I want to become fluent in Spanish. Who knows but it may lead to greater things like working towards a AA Degree. I can use my degree possibly in the future.
I'm always going back and forth with what I want for my future but it's just not always easy to stay with one thing. It's a lot to think over and to actually pursue and put in all the hard work.Espesially research and the patience it takes and the long hours. It definitely isn't easy and it's time consuming. And money.
So I'm planning on taking a class and seeing where it'll take me. I'm excited to do this, and I think it's a good start for me. It'll be a new beginning for me in a new year. I am glad I have chosen this because I have to start thinking about my future, hopefully new things will open for me and other doors will close. I am really glad I'm putting action into my future and not just waiting for something to happen. Here's to new adventures. Here's to new openings and hopefully a better future! I have two months and I have lots to do, lots to think about, and have to put in a lot of action. I can't help but thank my sister and my mother for their ongoing, continuos, and loving support. The smiles on their faces, just made me feel like I was making a right step foreword! They are happy for me. I gotta not try but do! This is one major thing new in my life I'm working towards.

Me Before You

Me Before You is an amazing book that makes you fall in love with its storyline. you find a desire to follow the story till the end. I literally couldn't put the book down. You just can't stop because you want to keep reading. You want to keep reading about the man who was injured becomes quadriplegic from his accident. You want to watch how he deals with the hands he's now been dealt with. you want to see how this woman and man fall in love. and your heart breaks for this man who finds no hope in his case, and finds it think that he has absolutely nothing too live for. There's adventure, fun and excitement,  and heartbreak. I am saddened by the end of this story because it doesn't show that this man is redeemed, and he doesn't find a way to live life through hard times. He  by ending his life would do him good. I know life isn't always a happy ending but this is just super crushing. I truly love that the author when writing Me Before You, did some research on quadriplegic cases...and things like this story actually happen. I really do like this book.

Beauty And The Beast!

So, it's a new year, and we are in March! Who's excited for The Beauty and The Beasst? I am. Last night I watched The Real Beauty and The Beast on Netflix. I don't even know where to begin....All I can say is watch it! It is a must see. And what perfect timing to watch it now especially when the new Beauty and The Beast is out!
  What's new with me...
I know you must be wondering.
I turned 21 last year...got to vote presidential election.
I've had a rabbit, going on almost 6 years. Oreo is her name. She is a white bunny with black ears. She is precious!
I've been working in the food industry for 2 years. Working a lot.
On my free time I like to bike, hang at coffee shops & at the library.
I like to bike & workout. I don't consistently workout, so therefore when I workout, I hurt myself. But I've never been too careful in which I ought to be. I know.
I've been writing more, and drawing more. Trying to be creative. The type of writing I do is personal writing so I never share it but sometimes I think I ought to. Then again, I like keeping it to myself for keeps sake. Just for me. But hopefully one day, there will be a day that I will write something and share it with you. I'm quite just not there yet.

But I will share with you my drawings, I don't know how recent but pretty recently I've got into the habit of taking a pen to paper and just drawing. It's those quiet times that are best. If you know what I mean. It's been fun, I've been truly enjoying it. I've been inspired by the artist Sam Larson. His artwork inspires me. Definitely look him up and checkout his art. He is seriously gifted!

My social calendar isn't too busy, other than going to Bible Studies, a music event I went to that I was invited to...and now Beauty And The Beast event that I will be going to this week. Not much.  Mainly work is my social calendar.

I like to stay up late in bed, have music in my ears or have a good Netflix binge...The Office. Great show!  Might I add....F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

Well, I truly hope for the best for you in the new year. I thinks this is a wrap up to my post. I will share some of my artwork in upcoming posts. Thank you for bearing with me and reading my long post. I sure hope you enjoyed reading. I will be back soon! Any questions from my viewers? Feel free to comment below, I'd love a great chat!
Thank you!

New Year

Happy New Year Everyone! 2016. Still feels a little weird? How about you? It's January, all over again. I am super excited for this new year.
Starting fresh by doing the (January Whole 30). A lot of people started today, but my sister and I started the Whole 30 on January first.I am going strong, and have not cheated the cleanse at all.Even though I have almost messed up twice, once by almost eating a yogurt because I forgot there is no dairy allowed, and eating grained foods out of temptation and popcorn cravings. The first two days are absolutely horrible. I encourage you to push through it, because you'll get through it, I promise. The day after gets better and so on throughout the month. This is my second or third time doing the Whole 30 and it is incredible. I have had a great experience with this cleanse. It's good to do it every once in a while. You never want to overdo it. Too much of anything is not good for you.
Tomorrow is day five! Tomorrow is a brand new day!
