What Are You?

Are you a morning person or the kind that would rather stay up late at night?  I'm going to tell you who 

I am.  I am a night person, I'm like a hooting owl at night, my thoughts and bright ideas come out at 

night.  I can never think straight in the mornings even though mornings are absolutely gorgeous.  I am 

the gal that would rather choose a night time job over a morning//day job.  The funny thing is, I'm 

afraid of the dark.  I'd hate to be out late in the pitch dark at night, especially by myself.  That's 

probably because I come from the dry desert with wild coyotes, Javelina's bobcats, mountain lions, 

owls, crickets chirping, elk, deer, snakes, rats, and lizards and other wild creatures.  The sound of 

hearing a wild coyote at night would mean that they caught a dead rabbit, and that howling they'd make 

frightened me so much. This is the Arizonian hot arid Desert I'm talking about where I've lived for 

twelve to thirteen years. Even now living in southern California, I'm still uncomfortable at night, with 

the culture shock of many more homeless people around than in Arizona and how much competition 

there is.  Crazy how different I'm talking here. about these two states.  It's a scary thought.  Two 

different worlds. Haven't figured out what world I'm living in. What may it be, the world I've lived in 

for twelve to thirteen years or California for two years plus three months.  Im trying to follow what is 

best, God, my heart, and my family.  So whatever person you may be night owl like me or a morning 

person, have you ever tried the other way around?  Say if you were a night person like me?  Would you 

try and get up early to finally be the early bird who gets the worm?  I've done it, I say its a bit of a 

challenge, the first two weeks are horrid, but a cup of tea might just brighten your day.  The reason I 

mention tea is because it is the second best drink to water, than coffee.  A green tea or black tea will do 

you well alongside  a cup of water.  It will give you a boost of healthy energy for your day.  Lets say 

you're morning person, why not try a late night movie with some friends to keep you up or a late night 

party, go to concerts of your favorite band or singer, or lets say a musician.  Even get a night time job, if 

it'll keep you busy for a few hours.  Try differently next time.  It may surprise you.  

It sure was eye opening for me to get up early at six forty five in the morning.
