Chosen By God!

This book we are reading in our Co-op for Literature is Chosen By God. On the cover it says, Know God's perfect plan for His Glory and His children. This book is by RC SPROUL. What I have learned so far in this book is that if God is not God then He is not Sovereign. But I know that God is God and that He is Sovereign. There are two places that we will end up in at the end of our lives, which is Heaven or Hell. God picked each and every one of us before we even ended up on this earth whether we go to Heaven or Hell. We know that God has chosen some of Us to go to heaven or hell and that is perfectly fair because He is in control of our lives and because that is what makes Him sovereign. But the thing we ponder about is that we don't know why He has some go to heaven and not all go there. What I think is if all went to heaven then there would be no reason to be put here on this earth. Why did God choose some of us to go to heaven? We all ponder about this because we know what we deserve to go to Hell. We deserve to go to Hell don't we? You know God has chosen specific people to go to heaven. But it is God's sovereignty that has us go to Heaven. That is definitely something to be grateful for. But have sorrow for those that don't. I also have learned that god gives the sinners justice and He gives Christians Mercy. I am glad that I am reading this book because I am getting a lot out of this book. I am only at chapter three though and wow am I getting a lot out of this book. My great friend's Mom is teaching it. When my sister and I heard that we were reading this book my friend told me that her pastor told her that Chosen By God was a college aged book, which it is, and she was not going to read it. And that night my sister and I were scared of failing this book and we chose to read a little to check it out and when we started reading we got so scared because we hardly knew what this book was saying. We hardly new how to pronounce some of the words and there were some high vocabulary words. To tell you my sister started to cry a little because she was nervous of failing, meanwhile she is trying to get all A's in all of her subjects, which are Literature, Writing, and Math and I can see why that is scary for her. So I felt bad for her. I am also trying to keep my grades up in this book, until I heard from a great friend of my sister and I that it was a college aged book and when I heard that she was not going to read it, I was like oh no what does that do for my sister and I, will we fail if we do not drop out soon as possible. That is when I got real nervous. My sister and I were wanting to avoid reading this book, and we were trying to talk our Mom out of us reading this book. I know now that it was wrong. I am know glad that we are reading Chosen By God because I am getting a lot out of this great book. Please pray for us to do well. Please comment and tell us what you feel about this.
